The use of social media management software has accelerated since the launch of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Social Media guidelines (in 2015) alongside high profile media reports of heavy fines on companies where industry regulators deem that there has been a failure to deliver on adequate customer service, such as the £18million fine of Scottish Power by Ofgen.
